Meet the Artist Behind the Poster

Soft Chick
Soft Chick, a Long Beach-based artist, combines joy and community into their eclectic creations. From painting and clay work to animations and illustrations, their work reflects a bright world shaped by personal experiences. They aim to prioritize accessibility through their playful and bold lines, often incorporating cartoonish elements, making imagery easily approachable. When not lost in their art, Soft Chick finds enjoyment in creating music with friends!

When asked what their inspiration behind the poster design was, they had this to say:
"Each element represents a different form of expression, but they are all linked, reminding us that creativity is never isolated. The carved symbols speak to ancestral stories, music note reflects emotional rhythm, and the spilled ink represents spontaneity and vulnerability in the creative process. The hand ties everything together as an active force of making, shaping, and interpreting. Altogether, the poster celebrates the ways our experiences and histories are intertwined."
