Arts Open San Pedro was born from the idea that the artists of the San Pedro Arts and Cultural District have a vibrant history and a bold future to offer the greater Los Angeles community.

The San Pedro Arts & Cultural District is one of 14 arts districts in California. It was designated as a California Cultural District in 2017 due to the hard work and dedication of a coalition of the city’s cultural organizations. Together, The San Pedro Waterfront District, The San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, Angel’s Gate Cultural Center, The Grand Vision Foundation, and The San Pedro City Ballet, formed an artist coalition known as Arts United San Pedro. 
 

The purpose of the Arts United: San Pedro Arts and Cultural District Coalition is to create a framework to combine efforts to promote San Pedro’s authentic cultures and artists, including, but not limited to, visual, performing, digital artists, culture bearers, galleries, and entertainment venues with a unified approach to advocacy, marketing, and programming.
 

Through this event, we hope to show that San Pedro can be a place where artists and art lovers alike can gather and enjoy what each other has to offer.
